I actually started out life as an artist. More interested I will admit in drawing comics but still art is literally the only qualification I have. (How I managed to find work as a Children's Nurse and later a Careers Advisor is another story altogether. )

Anyway. I returned to canvas about four years ago and painted these 'Deadwood' paintings from my local woods. I also tried my hand at some abstract pieces. These are achieved by flicking or dripping wax across the canvas before painting a coloured wash, most often grey. then I drip multicoloured paint across that before cutting away the bubbles of wax to reveal the white canvas beneath. The next three are landscapes - with a poolscape thrown in for good measure. The first is a sold canvas called the Swimmer. the second, also sold, is Lightwoods Park and house as envisioned by Monet. finally a painting for myself. Edinburgh Castle in autumn.

Lastly. There are two prints I drew. As a big comics fan AND a huge Fallout fan I mashed the two together to produce these Hubris Comic covers of the Fantastic Vault four and Arachnoid-man. I will also admit to writing some fanfic around android P.I. Nick Valentine.
